SACHA (Shaping Abortion for Change): Prof Kaye Wellings and Dr Rebecca French, both based at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), are leading on a National Institute for Health Research study. The study is gathering evidence on how health systems and services in the UK can improve standards with the decriminalisation of abortion and the move towards more home medical abortions. Our work will be very much centred around how care and support for those having an abortion can be of a high quality that meets their needs. Our team includes clinicians and academics from universities across the UK, as well as Canada, Sweden and Australia. The study is high profile and will provide evidence for the public, government, clinicians and commissioners.
This is a short project – timings will be given on the day. Small financial prizes for the winner and two runners up.
